Cooking Classes with Community CROPS
We are teaming up with Community CROPS to offer you 3 exciting classes this summer! The classes will focus on traditional cusines from three of Lincoln's largest immigrant groups: Sudanese, Vietnamese, and Karen. The classes will all use fresh and local produce and will focus on the health benefits of the foods, as well!
Please join us for an exciting (and delicious) experience:
- Tuesday, June 11, 6-8pm, Cooking with the Community: Sudan
- Tuesday, June 18, 6-8pm, Cooking with the Community: Vietnam
- Tuesday, July 9, 6-8pm, Cooking with the Community: Karen
All classes will be held at Antelope Church of the Brethren, 3645 Sumner (near Sumner and Normal Blvd) and will be facilitated by both CROPS and the Asian Center. You can register by contacting either one of our organizations by phone or by email. See you there!
Shen Cafe Philanthropy Opportunity
Shen Cafe, a new Chinese restaurant, wants to give back to the community that has given so much to them. They are hosting a philanthropy contest. It is very simple and easy to help out your favorite organizations in Lincoln. All you have to do is go into Shen Cafe and order. Points are awarded based on what you order. 2 points for a Signature Dish or a Shen Bowl and 1 point for a drink or extra. Points are awarded at the registrar.
You have until June 30th to help The Asian Community and Cultural Center. The winner will be announced on July 1st.
Give to Lincoln Day: MAY 16th
We are so thankful for all of you who chose to donate on Give to Lincoln Day. This was our biggest year yet and we want to thank all our clients, supporters, and volunteers for your incredible generosity. We wouldn't be the organization we are without you all!

Thank you for joining us for our first two Lunch and Learn events, "Sudan and South Sudan" and "Karen Cultural History." We are so pleased with the enthusiastic response from the community.
