Youth Program Assistant Coordinator

Availability: 10-15 hours per week; some weekday afternoons required; Saturday afternoons preferred; weekday mornings as available

Salary range: $12-14, depending on experience

Position Reports to: Youth Program Manager

Job Description:

This person will be responsible for helping coordinate weekly youth programs with middle school and or high school students from refugee and immigrant communities and also perform one-on-one case management duties for a caseload of youth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare for and successfully run weekly youth programs at area schools or other sites

• Mentor a caseload of youth through one-to-one case management at school and home visits

• Provide accurate and timely reporting of work performed and outcomes in the form of attendance

tracking, youth database management, mileage, and reports to the Youth Program Manager

• Attend and successfully complete all required training programs, staff meetings and related assignments

• Recruit participants for programs, including using community contacts and knowledge to seek out

potential participants and find out what community members needs are

• Develop relationship with LPS community liaisons, ELL teachers, guidance counselors, parents, and

others to connect youth to community resources

• May provide additional transportation in company van, must complete van training

• Help provide oversight to volunteers involved with youth programs

• Act as a representative of the ACCC in public forums in a positive, knowledgeable and professional


• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
