Women's Program Manager

Khamisa has 20 years of experience in non-profit humanities. She has been with the Asian Center in 2007, and currently serves as the Women’s Program Manager. She advocates for women and seniors and directs projects to promote health, financial literacy, and empowerment in myriad ways. She also serves as a translator/interpreter for Arabic speakers.
Khamisa holds a degree from Sudan Khartoum College of Education, Math, Since and Art. In 2013, Khamisa received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology & Human Services from the College of Saint Mary. She has received training as a Domestic Violence Advocate, a Community Breastfeeding Educator through MilkWorks, and a Community Health Worker including more than 20 trainings and certifications supporting health, mental health, domestic violence, and justice.
Khamisa is 2018 Inspire Awards winner for Excellence in Nonprofit work. She has served on the Refugee Congress Delegate for Nebraska since 2021.
